Farming Today or yesterday

All the little hamlets beside the railway line seem to have much more purpose than those beside the Russian lines. They are amongst huge, ploughed at this time of the year, fields
which are being worked by a very few people. We saw one single person or at most four people walking across these big fields sowing seeds. Some by hand just like we used to see in books when we were kids. Throwing seeds out from a basket. But these were in huge fields! Others had a small wheeled trolley which seemed to be distributing the seeds. it was not the planting by hand that surprised but the enormous space they these few people will cover
There were some small tractors but also horses and donkeys pulling carts. Again this is not the surprise but the areas they will cover before the seed is sown is beyond belief.
